The Sadness

 

                                  The Sadness

    The sadness creeps in, slowly, 

gently

taking hold while I'm not looking,

I'm distracted 

    I sob uncontrollably as my heart sinks deeper

I am in despair, I am grieving

I miss you.

    I realize my error, my shame is great, 

I'm sorry for losing myself....in you

 I lost faith, in everything, in everyone

Including myself. 

My mind keeps going, I can't sleep, or eat

    I talk to death, pleading for relief 

I am hurting. 

You left, I asked you to, 

    I will always remember that sadness...
